Who cares... I didn't get a car when I was 17. I got my car when I could afford it, which was when I was 22 and I had a career by then. The kids who get cars from their parents, put those cars through hell. They don't care, they know they aren't paying for it, so why should they care. Learn the value of a dollar... work for it! Plus you'll be more proud and take better care of your car, even if it's a junker. Don't be greedy and expect a car, those are sooo expensive to maintain and the worst investment.
and by worst investment, I'm not saying to not get one because of that reason. Ask a lot of older adults who have them, it's a nice luxury, but you have to keep up with payments and insurance.
You're 17. Get over it. You shouldn't be asking for or expecting anything for your birthday at that age.
I had to buy my own car so get over it and graves can cost like $15,000
I am astonished at the poor reading comprehension skills demonstrated by the comments associated with this post. For the last time people, the OP did not state she wanted a car. She stated that while others may get cars (as an example of a good gift) she got a cemetery plot. Everyone is having a hissy fit about her greed in wanting a car but she didn't say that at all; it was a comparision of an example of a great gift vs. a weird, inappropriate one.
Where are the mods to shut down comments on this one? God people are stupid. Refer to #233 and stfu, all of you.
Yep, the whole mention of cars was obviously tongue-in-cheek; the OP wasn't expecting some hugely expensive present. Why don't people read or skim over the comments before posting their own?
