I would love to hear the 686 explanations as to how or why someone could deserve a migraine of any length, let alone a four month one.
.
I understand your pain. I've had chronic headaches and migraines for my entire life. If you haven't gone to a neurologist, I suggest going to one. You should probably talk about having some sort of scan. I have been through lots of scans, and I can promise that the loud clanging in your ear will be worth it. I'm sure you wouldn't want to have to worry about an aneurysm or a tumor. If you already been through those, I hope you will find some sort of medicine that will help. Sadly I haven't found one that really works, but the best I've had was botox.
Nothing about that comment made any sense. It appears that thinking is probably not your game, might explain the migraines as well.
My first migraine lasted 6 months. I was on medication for half of that time and for another two years afterwards. Then I just kind of stopped taking everything. About three months ago I started seeing a neurologist again. Aside from lifestyle changes, she has me taking a B2 supplement and a magnesium citrate supplement. I also take Topamax, like others have mentioned, but it's giving me some unpleasant side effects and I'm not on the full dose yet. I also see an acupuncturist and a chiropractor once and twice a week respectively. Everything combined, I'm going from daily headaches and 1+ migraines a week to 1 or 2 headaches a week and only getting migraines around my period or when I encounter a trigger. I promise it does get better, but you have to see a doctor. You've had a migraine for 4 months. Hopefully it's just a migraine and not something more serious.
I take prevention meds (topiramate and nortriptyline) because I suffer from chronic migraines as well. Also always have a ready supply of medication for if/when you get a migraine (such as zomig.) Also, knowing your triggers is very useful for migraines, so you can avoid them as much as possible.

a fifteen week long migraine? please tell me you've seen a professional, cause that sounds like something definitely isn't right
Uh, I think it's more complicated than that. It sounds like you're talking about a regular headache. Migraine is much different.
