You had the best excuse in the world to not wash your hands... use it!
I understand the whole rash thing and that's unfortunate but not washing your hands is not just your problem but everyone else who comes in contact with the stuff you do as well. I believe this is how viruses spread.
That's why I hate touching public door handles or poles in trams/trains. If OP doesn't even bother to rinse, then imagine how many other people think it's ok not to wash their hands. D:
That's why I hate public bathrooms. XD
Right. From now on, I'm just going to ignore my grandparents. "Oh, you want to go shopping? Nah, I don't see the point; you're gonna die soon. Love ya, Gran."
Most of the old people on here are just mean and conniving...My grandmas are mean and stubborn too. Don't take this kind of abuse from someone you don't know or even related too, stand up for yourself. They're adults, treat them the same way you want to be treated. At least be reasonable to people you're related too. Shit.
people take comments way too far out of context. as if telling an stupid old bitch you dont even know shes going to die soon is basically the same as ignoring your own grandparents, for one telling a random old lady shes going to die because shes a bitch wouldnt get you written out of any wills.
Wow... 'She's going to die soon anyways' have we really reached this level of absurdity? Hm... Perhaps you'll die before her. She saw a girl walking out without washing her hands and corrected her. How was she supposed to know. Although the situation sucked for OP, but the ladys not wrong
Fair enough issue to comment to someone about, but there's no need to be nasty. She could have said "Excuse me dear I think you forgot to wash your hands", if she felt the need to make an issue of it.
#102 It would of been nice, but we have no idea about how the old woman "bitched". For all we now, she could of said exactly that. Bitching can vary in meaning from person to person. Some people find nagging to be equal to bitching. More likely she was a bit rude about it. However, OP still could of either carried their own soap or hand sanitizer with them or explained in a polite manner.
...and then you had to touch the filthy door handle to get out of there. Fyl
You know, if everyone washed their hands after using the restroom, the inside door handle would not be filthy. While it's true that you can't force everybody to do it right, the kind of thinking of "nobody does it, so I won't either" is what leads to everybody, or at least most people, not doing things right.
Knowing little to nothing about Japanese culture, I can't really make any snarky remarks. Good hygiene is always the way to go - Even if you find yourself intolerant to many kinds of soap, it'd make sense to find the kind you are tolerant of and carry it with you for hygienic purposes.

Why don't you carry your own soap with you? If you know you are allergic and also know how unhygienic it is to not wash, YDI for putting yourself in that position!
Don't be to "rash"-ional.
