Grandma Isnt Gonna Be Happy
That was dumb. Propose quickly perhaps there will be no charges
SO STUPID
It's sweet that he did that, most guys wouldn't care. It's not his fault. We all lose things. Stop telling him what he should've done, because he didn't do it, he had the right idea!
I don't think he had the right idea at all. When my then-boyfriend proposed, he had no idea what my ring size was, but he knew damn well that resizing wasn't a big deal either so he bought the average and we had it fitted the next day. I was deliriously happy with the ring, getting the right size wasn't a big deal, and he didn't have to steal from me!
It IS his fault. HE lost the ring. A ring with huge sentimental value (things like that mean something to people and can't just be replaced). There is no way he can excuse himself with "it happens". He even took the ring without asking. He seriously ****** up with this one.
Keywords
"Borrowed discreetly" is a euphemism for "stole." The ghost of Granny is already haunting you!
Really, I don't know why you got so many "YDI".. I don't think you do, unless you were REALLY careless with the ring, you didn't mean to lose it. I think its sweet you tried to go through all the work so it'd be perfect. Best of luck finding grandmas ring.
