I'm sorry, that stinks. Rule number 1 of social events is to never use ANY wax within 24 hours prior to the event. I'm really sorry you had to learn that the hard way =(
There is a special type of hair removal cream for your more sensitive areas, and my guess is that the Nair you used was not. I don't even think there is a more sensitive Nair, but there are products out there for your face. If you are worried about upper lip hair, I suggest checking a drug store. And even when you do use these products, you are supposed to use just a little bit on a different area of your body, say your arm, so you can tell if you are allergic to the product before completely using it. Plus, wouldn't you be able to tell if you had a 'female mustache?'
this happened to me in 10th grade the day of a homecoming dance. i was so embarassed i almost didn't know because makeup could barely cover up the second degree burns i had on my upper lip
RESCHEDULE! haha #3... and btw next time use something made for facial use
Ouch. Been there done that. That's why I read labels now. On the back it cleary says to test on a small area first. Save yourself the embarassment and read labels next time.
thats your fault, you should have read the directions which clearly tell you to test it on your arm or leg because it is not hypo-allergenic.

Before I read the last sentence I was really hoping it'd say "A rash-tache." But it didn't, and that made me sad.
Okay, I don't understand. By you saying you are allergic to Nair, it must mean that this would be the first time in trying to get rid of a "moustache." Next time think for a few seconds. First off, he accepted to go on a date with you, and whether it was you, him, or one of your friends who got the date started, he at least has some sort of interest in you even though you have a "moustache." Second, next try something unless you already tried it in the past; for example, if you had use Nair before, then that's one thing, but you never did use it, and now you did, and you embarrassed yourself further. Third, if he still likes you, even with the burn mark, then perhaps you shouldn't try using nair in the future.
