At least the VERY drunk customers might think you are beautiful. You must be pretty awful-looking -- they usually let uggos work their asses off and the crappy tips drive them away. Chins up!
Plate in hand, that's when you walk over and put his face IN your food.
I’m so sorry, OP, that is incredibly mean. Ignoring the job issue, I hope this doesn’t impact your self esteem. Everyone is beautiful in their own way, and everyone has different tastes. For me personally, when I get my hair and eyebrows done, maybe put on a little foundation and mascara, guys ******* TRIP OVER THEMSELVES to talk to me or help me with the dumbest shit. Like “Sure you don’t want help carrying that sheet of paper?” Most days I actually don’t try, though. I dress down, hair is in a messy ponytail, maybe I’m behind on getting my eyebrows done, whatever, and it weirdly makes a huge difference in how people perceive or react to me, even though I have the same ******* face. I remember once I was moving from one apartment building to another in the same complex, by myself. I was going through the loading door with a huge dolly of shit, struggling with the dolly and holding the door open. A couple guys walked by and completely ignored me, didn’t offer to even hold the door when I was clearly struggling. Because I didn’t look like someone that immediately made them want to ****. TL;DR - Looks aren’t everything, looks are subjective, we all have good days and bad days, and **** that guy for being superficial. Too many people are like that in this world, and they all suck. I’m sure you look great, even if it’s not in ways that particular asshole recognizes, and I hope his comment didn’t impact your self esteem. Try listening to “Beautiful” by Christina Aguilera - it’s inspiring. And good luck with the job search!
Wish I could give you a hug
