Never engage with crazy

Today, while walking home, I passed some guy loudly whining that foreign imports are destroying our economy, and that we should all be deported. When I pointed out that the mobile phone in his hand was clearly a Samsung, he turned bright red and punched me in the gut. FML

Apparently people don't realize the OP's from South Africa, not the U.S.....

What's up with all the dipshits talking about America? This guy's from South Africa. Stop making Americans look so self-centered, ffs!

Yes, I am aware that OP is in South Africa but you could just as easily hear some ranting like that in the U.S.

So what. Even though the "buy only [American] products" solution is a silly one I don't find it compelling enough for people to slander the country and be all anti-American. The OP is from S. Africa and people automatically assumed he's from the States - that right there just proves that people are quick to jump on the "stupid American" or "I don't understand this country" bandwagon.

Loud... whiny... racist... stupid: How could this conversation go wrong?

Way to take one for the team, OP. We need more people like you in society who are willing to go the extra mile to cure the rampant idiocy that currently plagues us.

And its people like you who have to be politically correct about everything and cause this country to grind to a hault when it comes to making progress

54- I am honestly baffled by your comment. What are you talking about?

iTransform 8

LiceDownUnder two questions, what the hell are you going on about? and 2... Do u really have lice in your underpants? o_O

Seriously dude, no one knows what you're talkting about...

I heard this guy once go into a 3 minute rant about how we need to buy more American products to stimulate the economy. He then go into his Toyota and drove off. I've given up on trying to understand America.

OhDearBetrayal 25

Probably thought that Toyota is American because of the whole pride in trucks thing in the US.

iTransform 8

PLEASE tell me you laughed your ass off at his idiocy *falls of chair laughing*

That's just one person out of 300+ million people, and although a rather silly solution for stimulating the economy at least it's an honest one. So try again.

Toyota is actually made in Mississippi :) Unlike Ford that is imported from Mexico.

My feeling is, no matter where you're from, if you're whining about imports making your economy worse, do some shopping and research and buy only what is made in your country. Hypocrites are the absolute worst!

I was going to make comments about 'Merica being ignorant ... But this was posted In south Africa . But the fact that I immediately assumed this was about my country speaks volumes for itself .

Ehh, you really can't be that bad. You admitted it, at least.

Economic nationalism is no solution to current crisis.

Economic nationalism brings economic isolation, stagnation, poverty and eventual collapse. We've reached a point from which it's impossible to progress without global trade. The world is going global. Either you make business overseas or someone else is going to do it.

Hey, there's no room for you smart people on this site. You don't fit in at all. Lol

Ignorent people will do ignorent things, so don't take the punch personally OP

unknown_user5566 26

That they will. It's ignorant*, by the way. Ignorant: 1. Lacking education or knowledge. 2. Showing or arising from a lack of education or knowledge: an ignorant mistake. 3. Unaware or uninformed. I'm normally not this much of a nazi, but I HAD to point this one out. It was killing me. ;)

So are you saying that 22 was ignorant of ignorance?

s3ction8 0

Are you serious? Learn how to spell, then talk shit you ignorant moron.

He was probably drunk, you should've just ignored him :/
