Today, my boyfriend broke up with me because he "couldn't handle the distance." He said he "couldn't commit to driving to see me long term." We live two hours apart, and I've driven to him every time; he never tried to come to me once. FML

he should've drove to see you, its less of an emotional rollercoaster for the person that has already made up their mind that they want the relationship over. So he could drive off feeling off (guilty, relieved) versus you driving back feeling angry, sad, betrayed, etc. that's a bad way to drive and affects your response times if anything bad were to happen. I'd make him give me gas money and tell him to go F himself.
