#46, "in no uncertain terms" and "in no way" DON'T mean the same thing.
Some of you are being way too hard on the guy. Sometimes people just get friend zoned. And if they're close friends then he probably has to deal with that question a lot.
ENGLISH, ************. DO YOU SPEAK IT?
What a turd.
I mean, to be fair, I've done that when I was with someone I liked, not because I didn't like them, but because I didn't want them to know that I liked them - there's really no good way to react to that. If he's close enough to be in your house eating your food, I doubt he's really that violently opposed to you.
# 67 and #78 are spot on. Don't be quick to make any conclusions either way.
YDI. Make things clear.

This is phrased really badly. I can't tell if he was saying no or yes, because you used the phrase "in no uncertain terms" it makes it seem like he choked while saying yes you are together.
He probably did that because he does like you and wants to be protected against any rejection embarrassment. Sure it's a dick move, but so many people do this because humans are ****** and stupid always.
