wow #3. just because he doesn't want to go to a dance with OP means he has a tiny penis? lord, you obviously don't handle rejection well I'm guessing you think that a lot of men have a tiny penis And #10 is absolutely right
I don't think it's that creepy. At my high school, virtually everyone does something over the top. It's not really common for guys or girls to just walk up to someone and ask them casually. Everyone is always trying to do something creative or dramatic. I'm guessing the the OP's school is the same way. Anyway, to the OP, that really sucks. He's an ass.
Wowwww you guys. How old are you all? In high school these days it's custom to ask people to dances in unique ways. Just straight up asking is considered boring. And it's not just for girls ask guys, guys ask girls creatively too. This doesn't sound strange at all. I've seen duets written, cupcakes/brownies/cakes baked, treasure hunts made, songs sung at assembly, a giant ice block delivered to their house with a note inside that said "now that the ice has been broken, will you go to homecoming with me?", etc.
#56: wow really? never knew that. but then if you go through these measures and the person says no it'll be more embarrassing than straight up asking. glad i'm out of high school long time ago... they're so brutal these days...
Balloons?! Seriously. I don't know if it's a new high school trend but I find it completely ridiculous. I mean, you're asking a friend to go to a dance, not to marry you! Obviously he was going to freak out, and probably thought about his whole neighborhood teasing him because of the crazy balloon girl. Next time try to do it in a less corny way.
@#56, It's not considered boring to just ask people out . . . As for your "FML" Just ask. If it were you just asking; and him saying no. It wouldn't be posted here; it's all your own doing that gets this posted; so in my opinion: You didn't deserve it. But it's also not a **** your life either.

You brought that upon yourself. Just ask him. Sheesh.
OUCH!
