Today, in history class, we were talking about Ancient Rome, and what childbirth would have been like back then. One girl asked in all seriousness why they didn't use ultrasound machines to see what sex their babies were. I have to deal with people like this on a daily basis. FML

I sincerely hope your teacher didn't just laugh this off, and took it as an opportunity to enlighten her. So many of the school/education related FML stories seem to end with an indifferent teacher, which is probably why so many students end up staying clueless.

Tell me about it. There are certainly quite a few good teachers out there, but bad ones seem to rule. I distinctly remember my lazy English teacher one year saying "We have plenty to do, we're just not necessarily going to do it."

A teacher would probavly say "my history class" and "one student" instead of "history class" and "one girl".

47/86- I wasn't questioning who wrote the story. I said I hope the teacher (of the history course) didn't just ignore the fact that OP's classmate is obviously confused.

You should've asked if they could use a machine to see if there was anything in her head.

The frequency of these types of FML's just keep getting higher and higher...

Maybe she's one of these alien conspiracy nuts, and thinks that aliens gave the ancient Romans ultrasound machines, and taught the ancient Egyptians how to build the pyramids and aircraft.

What do you mean alien conspiracy? That stuff really happened. Haven't you seen Alien vs Predator?

i would've loved to have witnessed this, this is hilarious!
