Oh dear

Today, I hit a dead deer that had been left in the middle of the road. My car started to make a funny noise and smell, so I pulled over to check it, thinking I blew the tire on some antlers. The deer had got stuck in my front wheel, and I'd dragged it more than a mile. And it wasn't actually dead. FML

FYL? **** the deer's life; that's a horrible and painful way to die.

That poor animal! My goodness, I hope you put that deer out of it's misery. I hope it didn't scar you too badly, I'd be a wreck if that happened to me! I can't even drive by roadkill without shuddering, feeling nauseous, and getting goosebumps ]:

you're an idiot...I hope your car slams into a tree one day

Well I see that nature was "reining" on your "deer" parade. Pun intended

You didn't need to specify that the pun was intended. It was pretty obvious, by your spelling and use of quotes. That's what we call overkill.

1. You hit something stationary. 2. You didn't stop after hitting an animal. 3. More than a mile... with a deer wedged into your tires. At 60mph that puts your reaction tiem at the 1 minute mark. You're not a very observant driver at all. How did you get your license? I failed my test for doing too few perceivable mirror/shoulder checks!

Ah yes, PA. Lots of deer there. I remember when I was coming home from an appointment with my orthodontist, 3 deer ran across the road, I thought it was okay to go, and then BAM! a fourth one. It took one of my headlights out of the sockets! It was hanging out the whole way home. But damn, that's gotta suck OP. I'd put it out of it's misery, and then push it somewhere.

What was he supposed to do? Get out of the car and bury the goddamn thing? Jeez, there are millions of cows, pigs, sheep, and other animals dying each year and everyone gets so worked up over one deer. If you dislike animals being killed so much then attack the federal government for using inhumane methods to butcher animals.

Depending on where you are, government butcher shops are legally required to be humane. I had it all explained to me by somebody that is well educated in agriculture. It's the non-government butcher shops that are inhumane. I don't think people are getting upset because it was a deer, it's because the poor creature was dragged a mile while alive. That would be horrendous for any animal, regardless of whether or not we eat it.

Millions of humans also die every year. Does that mean that if I drag a human under my wheel for a mile, it would be OK? Deer are just as capable of suffering as humans, and we have the responsibility to treat all sentient creatures humanely.
