Today, I got into an argument with my mom over her sexist, emotionally-abusive boyfriend. I told her that either he goes or I go. She called me a disrespectful bastard for not respecting my "new father." I'm now sitting outside a McDonald's with my suitcase, leeching their WiFi. FML

Ultimatums never work, they just piss off the person for whom they're intended and put them on the defensive. Seems like your mom is so lonely she's willing to write off "emotionally abusive" as a mere character flaw...sucks you're caught in the middle, but it sounds like F her life more than anything.

Sorry to say this... but some women are just stupid (and I'm female. Jut saying). My sister had an emotionally abusive boyfriend and she stayed with the loser for two YEARS! stand your ground and when he leaves her (and he WILL ) you can happily rub it in her face.

Wow OP, sorry to hear this.. You mother obviously reached the lower stage of her abusive relationship if she chose her boyfriend over her kid. Kicking you out was very extreme and selfish from her part, she should have tried to work out a solution. Anyway, know that only women with very low self esteem date chauvinist pricks. Let's hope she will realize her mistake on time. I don't know your age but I hope that you have a job to help and maintain you or at least friends / family who can give you a roof for a while. If not, maybe come back home and greet your teeth for a while till you can be outta there. What matters is that you don't live in the streets. Good luck.

Sorry to hear about this o.p. If it's any consolation, I had something similar happen to me. I don't know how old you are, but if you're under 16 you're probably going to have to stay at a friend's house, over 16, a hotel maybe? If it's any consolation, I had something similar happen to me. Your mum will see sense eventually. All the best.
