#13 I think that's the point, OP wanted to do it himself the right way as opposed to the customer trying to do it. Really I would have said something along the lines of I will get written up if I let you touch the glass due to safety codes and I don't want you to ruin your night, thank you though i appreciate it. end of story.
I was under the impression that a customer would NEVER be allowed to pick up broken glass - like 24 and 29 said. You should have just told her that you could not let her help, and asked someone else to bring a dustpan and broom or brush or something.
Wow people, putting glass into your hands will not hurt you. It's not like she threw the shards at the OP, the lady just placed the shards into the OP's hands so they could dispose of it. A customer who is willing to help clean up after herself will not sue the company for accidently cutting herself. I assume that's also waht you meany by health reason? OP this is not an FML, you weren't cut. If you were, you could have easily fit that in. Next time tell the lady to sit, and grab a dustpan.
FYL because you can't speak proper english
wow some people are just stupid. that includes the lady, and some of those who make stupid comments - including #48 who him/herself didn't bother using "proper english" in their comment.
lmao #50 at least she helped, but at the same time she should of asked where she could of disposed of it, instead of in your hand.
This thing is worded horribly, i can't really understand. It seems like she picked up glass and put it in your hands while you were picking up glass also...umm okay, wheres the f'd up-ness in that? What did you want her to do eat it? Unless she mashed it into your skin i see nothing wrong here.

it's ok. i've been used as a personal shopping basket. some woman came in and asked for help, and proceeded to dump things she liked into my arms. #1, they've got a real job. uncalled for.
Where else is she supposed to put it? Shards of glass can't cut you by just dropping them into your hand; the glass doesn't weigh enough. What a drama queen.
