Overbearing girlfriend

Today, I woke up, thinking it was going to be a good day. However, when I looked at my phone, I saw that my girlfriend had sent me an obscene number of angry messages, which are still coming in, because I forgot to say goodnight to her last night. FML

I don't get why women's angry behavior is often linked to being on period? We can get angry anytime...

# 113: People mostly link stories like this to women experiencing mood swings from their period because this was overreactive behavior that we all know didn't have to happen. A simple discussion could have got rid of this issue. Most of the time (for me at least) I don't get angry over silly things like this and I rationalize before acting out. When you're hormonal from your period, you most likely will not react rationally and will immediately get angry and say what's on your mind. Not everyone though. She really could have been a clingy bitch.

122: True. I admit bing a little more moody during periods, but I rarely go ape**** for little things like this. I think this girl is just crazy or insane. Actually, if I were OP's gf I probably would've thought he'd fallen asleep or maybe gotten a little worried if everything was OK.

Ahhh okay #140. We just share different experiences. I, for one, have been known to go ape shit from having mood swings from my period. My bf says that I can be completely different. Lol that's kinda sad. But I can see you're more reasonable xD

I was reading this and was like this sounds like what I did to my boyfriend over the summer. Then I was like AHHH his name is jake too!! Unfortunately he can't remember if this could possible be him or not. But everything literally fits.
