Today, I accidentally hit someone's car while in the supermarket car park. I left a note, went shopping, and when I came back my windows were shattered, my tires were slashed, and "FUCK YOU" was written on my windshield. FML

Today, as I left the supermarket, I found someone had hit my car in the parking lot. There was a note tucked under the wipers. Insurance details? Nope. It just said "Sorry dude. I fucked up. Good luck with the car." Great. FML

Today, I hit a parked car which was sticking out in the road and practically unavoidable. I left a note on the windshield saying, "You deserved to get hit - you park like an asshole." Later I realized that the paper I tore to write on was the back of my bank statement, name and address included. FML

Today, when I walked up to my car, all my windows were smashed. Thankfully, all I keep in my car is jumper cables, a pen, my car insurance and manual. Whoever smashed my windows apparently was pissed, 'cos they left a note saying "F**k you and your f**king station wagon." FML

Today, I found my car with its front end smashed in. The offender was nowhere to be seen, but had left a helpful note that stated, "Sorry about your car but you can go fuck yourself because you will never find me. Muwahahaha!" FML

Today, while parking my car, I accidentally bumped into the car in front of me, making a small, barely noticeable dent. I felt bad, wrote an apology note, and stuck it on his windshield. An hour later, he replied by keying the entire right side of my car. FML

Today, after having my car been broken into the day before because I didn't lock it, I made sure I locked my doors. When I got off shift and entered the parking lot, I noticed a brick had been thrown through my windshield and a note that said, "Nice Try". FML

Report it, the supermarket will have CCTV. Also, how is the OP meant to know who they are? Leaving a note on their car explaining what happened is the RESPONSIBLE thing to do, ffs, I don't get why that makes them an asshole. Their response is vengeful and uncalled for, report their ass!

**even if the cops never find out who done it report it anyway. You can claim the damages to your insurance as vandalism and they will require a Police Report file number/reference number, so give them the reference number, it shows it's reported and your insurance will be more likely to help.

Right after I hit their car I would have: 1) taken pictures of the damage with my cell phone and got a plate number 2) file a police report after they damaged my car 3) see if the store has video footage of the incident.

How do they know it was your car? Did they see you put the note on their car? Could they tell from the dent? Or had you parked next to them? :P

I hope you took their plate number as well. First off CALL THE COPS! Second, go to one of those public record websites get their info then send a certified letter in the mail (one which requires a signature) of the bill for your repairs. After that if they don't respond... it's fair game.
