Today, I accidentally hit someone's car while in the supermarket car park. I left a note, went shopping, and when I came back my windows were shattered, my tires were slashed, and "FUCK YOU" was written on my windshield. FML

That is terrible! If I were you, I'd call the police. That's what you get for being ethical. );

I really hope you managed to keep a record of their number plate OP, that really really sucks and you do not deserve it at all :-(

Clearly, doing the right thing isn't always right. What a jackass for sure. Hope you had a phone that you took pictures with and reported this incident to the police.

It was right for OP to have left the note. It was wrong for the other person to then vandalize OP's car. That the other person decided to break the law (and be a total raging jerk) doesn't mean OP did the wrong thing, just that the other person did.

Hope you got their license plate number. Sounds like they're going to be paying a lot more money to fix your car than you'll have to pay to fix theirs!

I hope you got a ******* plate number. How bad did you damage their car?

Hopefully that supermarket has parking lot cameras. And in this world that most people own camera phones, a photo of that licenses plate could have been very wise to take. I've heard stories about people leaving notes on cars but instead of leaving correct contact information, they'd leave pretend numbers because there were on-lookers and they faked doing the right thing. :P
