At least he won't be contacting you for insurance claim!
After leaving said note you should have left.
I would've called the police and the supermarket you were at. The store could've asked the owner of the car to go check it out and your car wouldn't be destroyed.
I honestly think that was really dumb of you. after hitting the car, you should've booked it and went to another food market to shop. you have to think of the possibilities, thinking ahead, and you.. .you just didn't
Yeah, because a hit and run is always the best choice...
Wow. I really hope you're not driving... or never do!
At least you left a note. I had someone hit me the other day in a parking lot when I was in the store, and didn't realize it till later that night. They didn't do much damage, but the fact that they didn't fess up to it pisses me off. There is no more decency in the world anymore. And you didn't deserve that, OP.
That really sucks but who writes a note? FYL and YDI
Decent civilized people?
Just imagine what they might have tried to do to you if they'd been around when it happened. People are scary sometimes!
I'd be pissed too if someone left a note on my car after hitting it. you should've taken down the license plate number, told the manager & exchanged information then & there. it's the reasonably mature thing to do after hitting someone's car.
The mature thing to do is to leave contact information on the car in case you can't find the other driver. I rear-ended a parked car once when I was a new driver (first time driving on snow) and when I couldn't find the driver I didn't leave a note, I drove off and went to the PD to report it. The guy who was asleep when I hit his car tried for months to have me arrested for hit and run. Good thing I went and reported it on my own, huh.
If you hit a car then yes leave a note but don't park right next to them, just to be safe go somewhere else. Either way they have your info.
Imagine someone else taking OP's parking spot and having their car brutalized instead while they're shopping. I'd feel sorry for them, to say the least! Although perhaps OP's car had signs of having hit the other car visible on it, and that's why the owner knew it was the culprit. Still, I'm not sure a person who would do that much, clearly angry, would hold back and make sure they had the right car. Tough situation, all in all.
Well you have their fingerprints and maybe DNA one. report it
And where would these fingerprints/DNA strands be?

That is terrible! If I were you, I'd call the police. That's what you get for being ethical. );
I really hope you managed to keep a record of their number plate OP, that really really sucks and you do not deserve it at all :-(
