Today, my friend and I were arguing over whose boyfriend was better. Just as I was about to convince her, my boyfriend rang. Trying to start the perfect conversation, I put him on speaker phone and answered, "Hey Tiger, I was just thinking about you!" He broke up with me on speaker. FML

Today, my boyfriend called me to break up with me. Immediately after we hung up, I started crying hysterically. I thought I dialed my best friend, and as soon as the line picked up, I yelled, "That motherfucker broke up with me!" My now ex-boyfriend replied, "Yeah, I know I did." FML

Today, I got into a huge fight with my boyfriend. I called him and started yelling at him over the phone. He told me that if I wanted to end the relationship I should just hang up the phone right then. Before I could say I still love him and don't want to break up, my phone battery died. FML

YDI for arguing about something as immature as whose boyfriend is "better." Her boyfriend is better for her, and your boyfriend is better for you, otherwise you would switch. Don't treat your boyfriend like an object in a department store. YDI for trying to start the "perfect conversation" for show. I would say YDI for calling him Tiger, but there's a chance that's his real name. But FYL because break ups suck, especially when it appears as though you didn't see it coming AND he did it over the phone. =[

I agree, but mainly because of Spiderman. Kirstin Dunst said it and it sounded fine, if my girlfriend said it it wouldn't be bad. I can think of plenty of more annoying cutesy names people use.

I'm sorry your BF broke up with you, especially because from your perspective he was a great guy; but it is partially your fault that it was over speaker phone. He should have done it in person but given that he didn't, you shouldn't have put him on speaker phone to prove a point.
