Today, I realized that a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering does not offer enough knowledge and experience to accomplish some simple, everyday tasks. I have spent the last 12 years designing large robots to scour the seabed for shipwrecks yet the mechanism used to unhook a bra eludes me. FML

Today, I found out that the engineers I work with believe that a woman with an engineering degree working in an engineering company is apparently equivalent to a "secretary for engineers." I am that woman. FML

Phasing out

Today, I just started working in my core job domain, and all the guys working with me are giving up on their their jobs, because there's no future for it. It sucks being a mechanical design engineer in a country full of IT companies who just want us to convert. FML

Today, it appears that I spent three years of my life studying for a degree to find myself driving around looking for potholes. That's literally my job. I didn't even study roading, my civil engineering degree is in designing structures. FML

Today, my boss quit, leaving me as the only structural engineer at my company. I'm fresh out of college and will have to finish the projects on my own. Hope Google can teach me how to do this. FML

Today, just to have a chance of a future career, I had to major in Data Science. Here's to 2.5 more years of soul-crushing tedium and passionless abstraction. If I had the resources to control my own life, I would have been a tradesman so I wouldn't have to sacrifice 4 years of my life on this. FML

I love how the girls here are talking about what a turn on it is when a guy can unhook a bra in 2 seconds, yet whine and cry when that guy goes and screws another girl the next day...stupid desperate fat chicks ready to hook up with any guy who is decent looking or popular

1. I'm pretty sure there was only one girl (maybe 2, I didn't count) that actually said it was a turn on when a guy can unhook a bra really fast. 2. Being able to unhook a bra quickly has nothing to do with cheating. What the hell does that second part have to do with ANYTHING?!?! 3. Nothing in any of the comments here has implied anyone was a "stupid desperate fat chick ready to hook up with any guy who is decent looking or popular." #'s 1+2+3=you fail at comprehension and you're a bitter asshole.

If you're terribly concerned, get to WalMart or whatever, get a boxed bra in your size (you can figure it out, you're an engineer), put it on, and practice. You'll be doing it with one hand behind your back in no time, so to speak. Or if it's a front-close, uh, good luck to you.

Ha all the people who think they are " expert bra removers" dont realize that women with boobs sometimes like to wear halter bras, and criss cross bras, and bras with the snap in the front. Takes 3 steps to get a criss cross bra on and off!
