Today, I realized that I will never be able to buy the car I've wanted since middle school. The car? A greyish-silver Volvo, which is the make and color of car Kurt Cobain drove. The reason? I've been informed that it's also the make and color of the car that Edward Cullen drives in Twilight. FML

I can see why it's a bit deterring,. but not so much as to not buy the car. It's not like that's the reason you want the car, I think if you really want it, just go for it already. You shouldn't have to justify why you want a car or why you bought it. If you like the car, just do it. Volvos are nice cars, don't let some dumbass teen hype get you down.

OP knew the make, not the model, just to point out. Maybe she did like the car model that Kurt Cobain drove, and the fact that he drove it added significance to her. Twifags will squeal over any silver Volvo, period, which supports the fact that (based off other comments) the model was never mentioned in the books.
