don't replace it- rabbits are not good pets for kids and nobody knows how to take care of them properly anyways. it pisses me off. i can't even imagine what kind of care this poor bun had between all the families that had him. kitty i'm glad to hear you know how to take care of your buns. i just had to ask. so many people are so ignorant when it comes to rabbits and i just wish more people would do proper research before buying/adopting them.
@148, some rabbits actually do 'scream' when they're very scared or right when they're about to die. Honestly, why would you leave a window open with a rabbit in the house? I'm assuming it's a tiny rabbit, since it's a classroom pet, but even little rabbits can sometimes jump really high, often even higher than larger rabbits. YDI, but definitely FYL
it's not necessarily the OP's fault.. you don't know if it got out of it's cage or out of her hands or anything. some of those rabbits are pretty quick... SOME.
