If he actually said "we're firing you because of your attendance", and if the attendance history you claim to be true is actually correct (these are big if's, because either he has the stupidest supervisor ever or he's not telling us something), then you have a pretty strong case. Talk to a lawyer. Soon.
... You were cut with an excuse. Fight it. You can actually fight this if you only missed one day in the last five months for a legitimate reason. That or you appear to work late.
2 options: A) you work at a warehouse....theres a chance that your supervisor's supervisor has no idea who the hell you are and was mistaken. that would kinda suck, but not really..... B) discuss this with your current supervisor. there may be a simple mistake C) wrongful termination suit. you were given a reason. it is invalid. they may be able to fire you for no reason, but if they give one it must be legitimate
as a labor lawyer, my advice it that you don't bother with a law suit... it's gonna take waaay more time and money then you'll want to spend. unless you're unionized (which I'm assuming you're not since you were fired without a union rep present), you're an at-will employee and an employer can terminate your employment at any time. HOWEVER, unless they have good cause, they have to pay you unemployment benefits. missing work can qualify as good cause, but if the last time you missed work was 5 months ago, then it wouldn't. if you want the unemployment benefits, contact the state Dept of Labor and file a claim with the Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board (UIAB), where they'll schedule you for a hearing with an administrative law judge. The UIAB should have a list of organizations that would gladly provide you with a representative for FREE (many times, those representatives are law students looking for experience). Good luck!
How come the absence 5 months ago is on this quarterly review? Shouldn't it have been on the last one?

wtf i just got laid off.... i think they needed an excuse to fire you, not lay you off so they would have to actually pay you severance or unemployment...why else would they fire you for something lame as that
i would ask what was wrong with my attendance?
