Review

Today, I had my quarterly review with my supervisor at the warehouse I work at. He told me I was doing great and we discussed my raise. After I left his office, his supervisor told me I was being fired for my attendance. The last time I missed work was to attend a funeral. Five months ago. FML

wtf i just got laid off.... i think they needed an excuse to fire you, not lay you off so they would have to actually pay you severance or unemployment...why else would they fire you for something lame as that

i would ask what was wrong with my attendance?

In a time like this, some businesses will make up reasons to fire employees. You were most likely "fired" because your employer doesn't want you to make a successful unemployment claim, which would raise his unemployment insurance rates. Fight it.

I'm sorry a similar situation happened to my boyfriend. You didn't work for cvs did you? They are looking for any reasons to fire any one. Its their way of fixing their budget. Assholes

#10,it depends on what state your in,in some states like the one I live in,it's an "at will state" which means unless you have a contract with the company they can get rid of you for any or no reason at all,but at the same time you can quit anytime you want.I know about the firing part because the company I worked for fired me when I was diagnosed with cancer.I was filling out my FMLA leave paperwork when they came in and fired me.I talked to a lawyer,no luck.

clearly you dont deserve this, so why would a couple hundred/thousand people vote that you did? same with a bunch of other ones.. i just dont understand. does this website purposely have people that go out and make sure there is some competition in the votes?

wtf? i mean does that even make sense? id defintly fight it

#4 Crabby- he said his supervisors supervisor fired him (they're not the same person)

Half the test of becoming a manager is proving intelligence, or rather the extreme lack of it.

Unfair dismissal. Take it further !
