What child protective services? OP lives in Asia. In Asia, they beat the crap out of children.

The fear of having CPS called on the parent's asses is the reason I hate children today. There are some very sweet kids, but there are so many damn brats running around that I want to cross my legs and tie my uterus into knots so I never reproduce. CPS is there to protect children who are actually in abusive situations, not mouthy pricks who get what's coming to them. Shut up.

see, that's the problem with our generation and newer ones. they're to prissy to take an ass beating when they have totally earned it. my parents always said, what you get is what you earn. I've been hit with many household items that its become an art form. but not over the top, a little smack once or twice hurt just enouh to instill proper etiquette in my life. I'm a very respectful individual. unlike half tje sad sacks on the internet because they're afraid to get what they earn. but no, all these little bastard children are running around acting like they run shit and they threaten to call CPS or the cops. that's why this world is going to shit, because of little ***** acting amd treating everyone they encounter like shit. and THOSE are the ones that should have just been swallowed at birth. amd the parenrs who allow this should be sterilized so they can't contaminate the world with these waste of sad sack filled diseases they call children nowadays.

117 - I so agree with what you say. I think some parents are just unsure what is "discipline" and what is "abuse". One smack for a smart mouth is quite different then the living hell some children are forced to live in daily. As teens I am sure we were all asshats at times (I was) and being tuned in made us adults who can function in society. I bet next time OP will think twice before sassing his mother again.

199; I was certainly spanked as a child, and I (relatively, but even the best training fails with some) turned out alright; my parents never crossed the line between discipline and abuse, and they made very sure that I understood if I did 'x', then 'y' would the punishment. If I did it anyway, then all they were doing was following through with what I KNEW was going to happen. Needless to say, by about 8-9, I stopped getting whipped, with the occasional pop for running my mouth. And 'legally' (where I live at least, and I know I already brought this up!) the line is if there are cuts/bruises/welts/other marks after everything is said and done. But still, as far as discipline (which I learned working with horses, who can be like small children sometimes) you NEVER want to be harsher than you have to; if a stern voice gets the message across, then all you need to do is use a stern voice. Still though, I advocate spanking when handled in a responsible manner.
