If only there was a button that you could press so you don't have those "impulses" that cause you to say stupid things to your mother. But until that gets created, there is such thing as common sense.

I'm guessing this kid is beyond the "discipline" stage where you put them in time out. They know it wasn't right and got smacked for being an ass to his mom. Deserved it too!! The mom should go on strike, no laundry, cooking etc. maybe he'll be thankful for what she does.
