Risky comeback

By Anon - This FML is from back in 2013 but it's good stuff - Singapore - Singapore

Today, my mum asked me, "Shouldn't you be cleaning your room?" On impulse, I replied, "Shouldn't you be in the kitchen?" I've never been hit so hard in my life. FML

hmm... OP deserved it for talking to the woman who gave him life like that

Sometimes the pain is worth it. This is one of those times.

If its a reflex dont blame anyone but yourself for staying single

@172: If it didn't sting, there would be no point. I'm not saying I agree with it, but if you're going to use that kind of discipline, then it is no consequence if it doesn't hurt even a little.

I agree that OP was in the wrong here, but he's obviously underage, and his mother shouldn't have hit him. A lot of the comments are saying he deserved it for being sexist, but in the real world, a person hitting someone else is assault, sexist remark or not.

I guess you weren't raised with the belt. If I had ever said that (or backtalked in general) to my parents, it would depend on whether my dad or mom got to me first on which punishment I would get... The belt or the hand. I'm 19 and in college, and my parents would still do that if I acted up. But I learned respect for my elders and when to hold my tongue from an early age.

There is a distinct difference between assault

Just because you're underage doesn't mean you have to disrespect your own mother. If he's a big boy and can disrespect his mom he can be a big boy and take a well deserved slap in the face

You need to call CPS immediately. I am certain they would line up to repeat your mothers response.

I've already given my CPS rant to the first commentator who posted something similar to this, so do us a favor and cram it; how about people like YOU who cry abuse every time a parent gives their a kid too harsh a look stop interfering so CPS won't have to waste their time doing an investigation when they could be helping a child who is ACTUALLY in an abusive situation.

He's not crying abuse, you moron. He's saying the CPS people would line up to smack the OP across the face for being a disrespectful little shit. Reading comprehension isn't for everyone, I guess.

Hey sweetheart, we already had this conversation further down the comments, and I already apologized. Thanks for correcting me though c:

i don't generally approve of physical violence but you deserved that 100%.

In an equalitarian world that shouldn't be heard. Not impressed.
