Scared for life

Today, like most days, my cat brought something to my doorstep. Usually it's a slew of dead mice, but this time he brought this big, ugly snake. I'm always the only one in my family "brave" enough to go fetch our cat's gifts. It took until lifting it up to realize the snake wasn't dead. FML

@77: I was thinking the same thing. no snake is out right now. the only way ur cat would bring u a live snake would b if it was someones pet and it got out. I have 3 snakes. all of which hate the cold if their tanks get under 70 degreese they don't even move. I can't even imagin what they would do in the middle of winter in deleware....I'm calling fake

wish my cat would hunt. he used to bring snakes mice moles gophers and sometimes even rabbits to the door but he has found that our neighbors down the road leave food out for their cats and he eats over there and no longer hunts :( my husband and my dog got bit by a copperhead last summer I think the cats gonna have to be replaced if he doesn't step up.

Fake, I worked in a PetStore. Snakes don't like the cold. and it says you are from Delware so you must got pounded with snow. Nice Attempt :)

If a cat was able to snatch it from wherever it was hiding, this FML could be real. It's not like the snake could react properly; the cold air likely slowed its reaction time. This is probably why the OP didn't realize it was alive; it was barely moving in the first place. I don't understand why people are so afraid of reptiles, snakes especially.

I honestly don't have the time to read all of the responses to this FML, but I think I want to add that the FML's must begin with "today" and that it does not necessarily mean that it happened today. For all we know, it could have happened last summer.
