Today, during a boat trip with my boyfriend's family, I got seasick and went to the side of the boat to puke. A current rocked the boat so badly that I fell overboard, prompting a panicked rescue and my boyfriend's mom muttering that I'm a pathetic attention whore. FML

Today, while on vacation with my family, I went parasailing. Just as I was about to take off, the wind picked up and I got blown off course. I ended up crashing into a boat and had to be rescued by the coastguard. FML

Today, my wife and I went kayaking for the first time in the ocean. She got seasick and just before she threw up, leaned over the side and tipped the kayak over. FML

Today, my boyfriend and I went on a 1 day cruise to the Bahamas. It happened to be on the same day of the worst sailing conditions. We spent 6 hours throwing up together. Him into the sink, and me into the toilet. We spent $200 to see the inside of our cabin's bathroom. FML

Today, at the beach, I swam pretty far out into the ocean. I ended up getting pummelled by the waves and got a painful cramp in my leg. The whole beach watched me flail and scream, while my friends rolled their eyes as they dragged me out of the water. FML

Today, I overcame my debilitating seasickness long enough to have a shower and take a breath of fresh air on the cruise ship balcony. Then as a reward, a passing seagull shat on my head. FML

Bad timing

Today, I went to the grocery store with my boyfriend. I wasn't feeling well so I wasn't paying too much attention to his usual antics. Since he thought I was ignoring him, he decided to grab me roughly by the stomach to give me a hug. I ended up puking right in the middle of the aisle. FML

Your boyfriends mother is jealous of you and her sons relationship with you and jealous of your youth. As people get older they start craving for what they used to have or wished they had and even something as unintentional as your little mishap can set them off. it's annoying people think like this. in-laws are people too. they don't suddenly change and start treating people differently because their child finds a mate, unless the mate is a real jerk. if they are miserable, chances are they were like before you came into the picture.

#74 - some in-laws will always dislike their childrens partner because they arent 'immediate family,' they dont see them as being good enough, whatever. sure, they are people, but some of them are just assholes. and if you find it annoying that people think like #39 does, then you shouldnt think that in-laws will only dislike you if you are a jerk because that is also annoying and wrong.
