Were you at home or in a public setting? Either way usually all doors have locks and are worth using

No room in my house has a lock. it's a nice 2 story too, so it's not just because there's no rooms.

Oh OP I'm glad you're taking it in the positive way, it's true most public rest rooms have no locks, or no proper locks or semi broken locks. Basically, it's not very private. Even if that was the case, the person should've knocked before entering.
