Today, my girlfriend cornered me and asked if I'm gay. I said no and asked why she even had any doubts. Apparently me being depressed and crying over my grandmother's death is "faggish" and means I want to have sex with men. Who knew? FML

first of all, there is absolutely nothing gay about mourning the loss of a family member. It is a natural process to mourn a loved one. Do what you need to do to mourn the passing of your loved one. For that I am really sorry and my condolences go with you. Second you need to ditch the toxic girl. An attitude like that is not helpful, it is actually a very bad attitude to have. It shows her lack of empathy. And the fact that she has no heart. This is not a person who you should be in a relationship with. I say ditch her and run as fast as you can

She obviously doesn't care about your feelings. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

I'm sorry for your loss, your girlfriend sounds completely insensitive and more than a little homophobic.

Wow, she's a cold hearted B* imo. I'm glad my girlfriend is more understanding. Lost my grandmother in may and we had a service 2 weeks back. Bawled my eyes out the night before talking about her. My GF thought it was cute actually.

"Faggish?" Really? Seriously? Is she 11? Even if there were characteristics that meant someone was gay (besides being sexually attracted to members of the same gender), that term wouldn't be an acceptable way to describe them. And mourning the loss of a relative by crying is totally natural for anyone.
