So.... catastrophe puns probably not appropriate cuz this one's a bit of a downer. Remember your cat fondly. Hope you worked out your issues with the gf, and remember that anger is rarely the best response.
I don't understand why this is down voted..
This is so sad. How does that even happen?
I've never cried after reading an FML before...
oh this is just so sad! You obviously didn't mean it OP, I know how hard it is to stay calm during an argument... just try to remember all the happy memories you had with your cat
This is the saddest FML I've ever read.

Show it anywaySeriously? Just because it's a cat mean it's death can't be sad?
Either grow a heart or go get you a pet, grow attached to them, love them with all you've got and see what happens when they pass away. It's most definitely heartbreaking. T_T
Considering I like my cats more than I like some people some days, yes, we're mourning a cat. Being a pet does not preclude them from being important or touching on your lives.
Empathy. Get you some.
#27 I seriously hope you don't have a pet or never have one. You are a heartless bastard and no animal deserves that type of owner. What if people told you should not be mourned when you pass? Hurts doesn't it!
Leaving the whole 'cats are better than X'-argument aside, he spent 14 years of his life with that cat. I don't have any evidence to support this, but I'm guessing by OP's use of Skype to argue with his girlfriend he's probably in his twenties or thirties. That's a large chunk of his life that he's had this pet, and pretty much everybody would be devastated to lose it after all that time.
there feeling for the guy don't be a dick
27 - have you been checked for sociopathy? Lack of emotions/cruelty towards animals is usually the first sign.
How can you even say that? We're you not raised to have this little thing called EMPATHY. Look it up
So it has been proven that #27 never had any pets.
On an unrelated note, a study in Britain has shown that the cat owners they have studied have a higher IQ. Not trying to imply anything.
I'm guessing you've never lost a close pet, have you? My dog that I loved died when I was four years old. They're more than just an animal to their owner, they're part of the family, don't be so heartless.
Your cat was 14 years old it was his time and I am sure they will remember all the good times.
Cats blow up everything on the Internet. Let's worship the Egyptian cat lords! ..Seriously though, he must've been a grumpy frumpy cat in those last heartfelt moments. R.I.P :/

I think I'm going to cry.
This is probably the most awful FML I've ever read. I'm sorry about your cat, OP :(
