Today, I was working at Old Navy. A girl came up to me and did a bizarre dance. Not knowing how to react, I imitated her to be friendly with the customer. Then she stopped cold. Her friend stormed up to me and yelled, "You jerk! Why are you making fun of her? She has Tourette's, you know!" FML

I don't see why someone would think you deserved this. You had no idea she had a condition. And if you hadn't done anything and stared at her blankly, you probably would have hurt her feelings. #41. I voted "I agree, your life is ******". I doubt it was really obvious that this girl had some sort of condition so I'd probably do the same thing. I'd understand the anger of #11 if she was in a wheelchair or something but I don't think that's the case.

#11, think about all the crazy crap that happens to people on FML. Now imagine the following being posted: "Today, I went into Old Navy and my tourettes started acting up. Then the cashier made fun of me. FML." And really, would that be any worse than even half the stuff that happens to non-disabled people on here? No. Get over it. Oh, a suitable alternative FML would have been: "Today, I went into Old Navy and my tourettes acted up. The cashier didn't know what the hell was going on and reacted unwisely. I was going to just let it slide until my overprotective friend made a huge spectacle out of me in public. FML." I bet this one would have gotten less "you deserved it" votes.
