Today, I was working at Old Navy. A girl came up to me and did a bizarre dance. Not knowing how to react, I imitated her to be friendly with the customer. Then she stopped cold. Her friend stormed up to me and yelled, "You jerk! Why are you making fun of her? She has Tourette's, you know!" FML

Today, as I worked as a cashier, two girls came up laughing. I smiled as I rang them up, asking what had made them laugh so hard. One looked me dead in the face and said, "You." They then both walked away, laughing. FML

Today, I was at a restaurant, and I saw my friend. When we made eye contact, I made a creepy face at her and twitched my arms to make her laugh. A woman looked over said sadly, "Oh my God, that poor girl!" She thought I was "special." FML

Today, a customer came into the music shop I work in to look at guitars. After calling the customer "Dude," and "Man," numerous times, they stalked off suddenly. When I asked if everything was okay, they responded with, "I'm female, you asshole!" FML

Today, I was grocery shopping, when an elderly lady walked up to me and tripped over her own feet. I caught her by the arm, at which point she shrieked at me for "groping" her. She ended up smirking as security threw me out of the store. FML

Today, a very large lady was sitting down and panting as she watched me stock the bottom shelves at my store. Apparently, being able to squat down and stand back up repeatedly means I'm mocking her, and she threatened to report me to corporate. FML

Today, although I can't dance, I decided to go to a club. A really cute girl asked me to dance, and I politely declined. She kept insisting, so I finally said okay. A few minutes in, she stopped, looked at me, and said, "If you're going to make fun of my dancing, I'm leaving." FML

Totally not your fault, it was an honest mistake. Anyone who says different needs to take the stick out of their ass and realize that not everyone has the magical power to identify disabilities.

Definitely FYL. How the hell were you supposed to know? My uncle has tourettes, and aside from his regular twitches, you wouldn't be able to tell. It was an honest mistake. Like someone else said, not all mental disabilities are visible disabilities. It's better to not treat people with disabilities like they need special attention. That actually pisses them off even more. My friend with epilepsy would much rather we joke about it, than ignore it. If we joke about it, it means we acknowledge she has a disability that's out of her control, but we love her anyway.

This girls friend is a bitch! Plus by shouting at you she is singling her friend out (which as I understand is not something that people with disabilities enjoy) as someone who can't even fight her own battles. IMO her friend is a worse person than you.

An honest mistake, but at the same time rather than imitating her "dance" you should've just politely smiled instead. #11 needs to get off their power trip and stop being a drama queen. It's an honest mistake and you know it.

Jesus Christ; Angry posters are ******* angry. Funny story! Too bad it had to end like it did. If an employee did that to me though, I'd totally think you were the most ******* awesome person to ever work at a clothing store. :P Who else would randomly dance with a customer?!
