Today, after months of believing my house is haunted, and years of being scared of the dark, I finally had to admit to myself that the only way I can go to the bathroom in the middle of the night is if my cat follows me and sits outside the door. I'm 23. FML

Try getting and indoor light that turns on when it senses motion (just dont aim the sensor to low or it will go off everytime your ct walks down the hall) this way when you open your bedroom door the light will turn on and you won't be in the dark or get a night light. But don't be ashamed everyone has fears and everyone deals with them differently

I suffer from the same thing, I turn on all the lights omw there and carry my chihuahua with me to the bathroom. Otherwise I'm tearing up and power walking down the halls trying hard not to cry. No bueno.
