If he is getting his first tooth, then I'm guessing you should have stopped breast feeding a while ago.
#118 you're stupid, therefore you should remain quiet. teeth can grow as early as 4 months. children can be breastfed until as long as the mother is producing milk. please go live under a rock and never climb back up.
#118 The World Health Organization recommends breast feeding till the age of 2. It is not related to when teeth come out. Obviously past a certain point, you’re combining breast milk and solid food. OP is unlucky that her baby is biting but it will pass. One of my friends has an 11 month old and he’s got around 6 teeth. He used to bite a bit at first but then stopped doing it. She still breastfeeds him with no issue.
My son is 14 months and has 8 teeth, he bit when they first came in or as a new tooth comes in it does certainly not mean I cant do it anymore.
Time to start pumping
not anymoree! xD
That's why you buy formula
#126 Yes because why provide your baby with the best natural (and free) nourishment you can get him/her when you can feed them with industrialized powder? Think about it, humans are the only mammals feeding their children with the milk of another animal. My sister breastfed her eldest only 6 months because she was badly advised and the child got lots of toddlers’ diseases. She breastfed the second one for 2 years and he was in much better health. The natural order of baby feeding recommended by the World Health Organisation is, starting from best: 1/the mother’s milk, 2/another woman’s milk, 3/ another specie’s milk.
in fact it is not a generality : some babies sleep better whith synthetic maternal milk, if the mother is stressed because of breastfeeding it can influence the baby mood and developement. It's better to do what you really want and you're the more confortable with , without caring for what other people say.
#145 The mother's mood will influence her baby no matter what she feeds him/her. Bottom line is that breast milk is much healthier for the baby than formula.
I don't know why people are bashing you. Some moms do switch once their baby gets teeth in. The biting hurts like hell. Formula is as close to breastmilk as they can get it. Sure, it'd be better to have another female's milk to continue breastmilk feeding, but in America, only very small and extremely sick babies are given donor milk. Because that milk could literally mean life or death for them. I supplement formula in my son's diet, because I have to. He needs it because he was preemie. Sure, the breastmilk is best, but it doesn't have everything he needs, which is why I also have to give him extra iron. My iron levels are great, above recommended, but its not enough for what my son needs. Don't bash on mothers who formula feed. It's a personally choice. Their baby, their choice.
Then don't breast feed!!!!!
This really isn't the breast situation is it?
Use breast pumps, and then bottle feed? He doesn't seem to be bonding with you when being fed anymore.
A 6 month old Biting does NOT mean they are not bonding with the mother, it means they are learning about something new. A 3, 6, 9 etc month old does not bite out of anger as a two year old would, they bite out of curiosity.
Then stop?

Pump your milk and feed it to him through a bottle. The next time that little bastard is going to see ******* is if he buys dinner first, or dials up some Internet ****.
Time to get the little bitter some bottle service.
