I've learnt that old women are just vicious.
I want to be just like that old lady when I grow up! And YDI for not getting up in the first place - don't they teach you anything in school anymore *sigh* kids these days. ... wanders off muttering and making plans to have a cane when she's old so she can beat young whippersnappers who don't offer seats straight away.
lol at #15 for using the word whippersnappers
'tis one of THE best words ever, simply couldn't let an opportunity pass. Whippersnapper, whippersnapper, whippersnapper ;)
pwnd!
Not a FML. You should have given her your seat anyway. It's called common courtesy. As for the old lady... she rocks.
To you and everyone else saying that it's 'common courtesy': Yes, it is socially expected to give your seat up for the elderly and/or disabled. However, the old woman didn't have to be a complete bitch about it. Honestly, everyone talks about how youth needs to respect the elderly and shit, when they certainly don't respect us, as it's proven in this scenario and many others I've witnessed before. OP: FYL, sorry that the old lady was a bitch.
The whole concept of a social hierarchy based on age is outmoded and useless anyway. Just because a jerk gets older doesn't make them special; however, it does make take them closer to extinction. I can't believe you suckers are saying YDI when you probably wouldn't really stand up anyway. I would stand up if I thought they needed the seat more than me, but if you feel obligated to, you've been duped.
I really don't think an old woman would use the term 'sucker', especially an Australian elderly. Sucker is very American.
My mum's an "old lady" and she would definitely say that. They don't make old people like they used to, that's for sure.
Of course! They come from the Old People shop, they arrive complete with a floral dress/high trousers, long winded stories about walking 100miles in the snow to get anywhere and all have that special "old people" smell. I believe the stork brings them.
Thequickredofox rox =D
oh yes, your life is so ******, you had to stand in the bus. gosh. and don't you automatically get up when an old lady or man doesn't have a seat??? rather fyl because you don't have any manners.
The OP posted this FML because the old lady tricked him, not because he had to stand up.
Lolwut?
