Today, I was heading to the bathroom when I clearly saw a little boy walking into my bedroom. My wife and I live alone, and I screamed at the top of my lungs, thinking he was a ghost. Turns out my wife collected him from school for a friend, and I just didn't hear them arrive. FML

I would've done the same thing. I've seen to many scary movies to know a little young boy in your house is a bad sign.

You're not cool enough to be haunted op

Your first thought was that he was a ghost? What century do you live in?

Spoilers: Op is actually the one that's a ghost. He had been haunting this house for centuries but can't remember because he has Alzheimer.

Including you Baustigt ;) I know your secrets!

Oh yeah ghosts have no place in the 21st Century. Someone should remind the producers of Ghost Hunters et al that their shows are outdated. Seriously?

Yeah, believing in spirits and an afterlife is a thought that belongs in the 19th century, right? I guess all horror stories involving ghosts and Casper should go bye-bye, huh?

I am sincerely interested to find out how that is relevant! Please explain.

#96, I never once said "ghosts are real" (my comment to #40 was about trying to prove something when you have no proof whatsoever), in fact I refuse to give out my beliefs here. Don't try to tarnish other peoples beliefs. Let everyone else be their own person.

Who knows... Maybe ghosts are real, and maybe they're not... Who's to say?

Fair enough if a person believes in ghosts. However, it is strange no matter WHAT your beliefs that your first thought is "Ghost" instead of a robber or lost kid.

You implied that belief in ghosts in modern times (as opposed to said belief in the 19th century) is valid. However, there is no evidence of ghosts, and much evidence to the contrary. I pointed out that ghosts aren't real because belief in fairy tales is something that modern people are slowly growing out of, as opposed to people who lived in the 19th century. Therefore belief in things that are contrary to science IS belief that belongs in the 19th century. I pointed out that ghosts aren't real because your statement implied either that modern people have as little knowledge of science as 19th century people OR that there is a possibility (in this case meaning any evidence whatsoever) that ghosts exist, both of which are false premises.

watched a lot of scary movies lately OP? ;)

If he was wearing a school boy outfit, I probably would gave pissed my pants. Ever see Insidious? First thing I thought of. Then I laughed.

Perform CPR! THIS PERSON COMMENTING ON AN FML INSTEAD OF GETTING HELP! OH THE HUMANITY!
