Suspicious activity

Today, I was walking my little sister home from the eye doctor. It was raining out so we were kind of in a hurry to get home. We get home and about half an hour later, the cops show up. Apparently, someone saw me walking my sister and called the cops on me thinking I was a child molester. FML

Some people are so quick to judge. Hopefully you explained everything to the cops and it all worked out.

LAWLZ. Post your pic. Seriously, some of the nicest people I know look like they could be weirdos.

#40, she was just coming back from the eye doctor, so her eyes were probably dilated or something so she couldn't see. So walking her home is correct.

FYL! But good job, cops. 30 mins, it would have been done by then.

Yikes! What were you doing on the walk??? Hopefully it was all cleared up as soon as you explained...

@33 So you really think we have an "innocent till proven guilty" legal system here? What happens when there is a domestic dispute? Who usually gets taken away by the cops in that situation? The guy. No rhyme or reason to that but that's how it usually happens. What about racial profiling? We have the joke "driving while black" for a reason. Most of the time prejudice but it definitely isn't innocent until proven guilty. Or what about the video of a guy who was speeding and as he's walking away from the cop he gets tased? More often then not the cops make judgment calls which don't follow what we are taught about our government. Plus what about freedom of speech type issues? Ever realize now that we have places called "free speech zones" while protesting? Which implies you can't do the same 15' outside the box. And last but not least I hit this same topic days ago when I stated that states are now asking that people be diligent and call the cops if they see an older person walking with a younger person.

"All right, sir, everything checks out. But I'm afraid you're still going to have to register as a sex offender for the next 10 years as a precautionary measure. Watch it next time."

I can't even imagine what kind of opinionated **** would call this in.

@ #28 Well, if his sister really WAS being walked home by a creepy child molester, I think we all would have wanted the caller to poke their nose into his business and call the cops. It sucks for the OP because he isn't a child molester, but at least somebody cared enough to call the cops and prevent a possible molestation.
