My husband tried to be sneaky and find my ring size. He was 3 sizes off, and it was too big even for my thumb. Anyway why not just wait til you have more money?
Really OP, surely you would have had some indication as to his spending habits before now. If you really have a problem with the amount of money he wants to spend on a ring, then do him a giant favour and dont marry him. It should never be the amount dropped on the ring, its the symbolic gesture of the ring that should count. You know that he wants to spend the rest of his life with you? Yeah that one! Well you should want to do the same, regardless of how expensive the ring is. Doesnt sound like you do.
YDI for being a materialistic bitch. If you really care that much about a ring, pay the rest for yourself. The fact that he is buying you a ring should show you that he loves you. I feel bad for HIM.
gold digger, rings don't fill holes
watbis wrong with u?!?!? just be happy that ur not all alone!!!!
YDI for being greedy. Maybe thats all he can afford?
my ring was $200 and I love it! you don't need a big ring to shove in peoples faces. anyways, it's an engagement ring, they are suppose to be dinky!

It's about the love, not the ring.
$200 is way more than you should spend on a ring anyway. YDI for valuing the ring over the love!
