Today, I found out that while my sister can somehow manage to keep an eye on and control her three preschool-aged children at the park, making sure nobody steals my dog from right beside her is just too big of a job. FML

That's so sad for the dog, but I would struggle to look after all that at once....

You sent someone being responsible for THREE preschoolers off with an extra life-form to watch after?!? You are clueless.

It's better than someone stealing one of her kids.

Sorry but 3 kids are waaaaay more important.

My dog is way more precious to me than some kid.

It isn't "some kid" it is the ops family. Her sisters children are more important than a dog. It just is.

yes, because they're human! A humans life is worth way more than any dumb god or any other animal that's not a **** sapien

Well that's your opinion. Personally I just see humanity as an extremely nasty, aggressive and destructive species that causes way, way more harm on this Earth than good. That's just my opinion though.

Maybe you're right but even so it doesn't really matter : you take care first of the young ones of your own species, like many "intelligent" animals do. A human life should always matter more because that's who we are and who we relate to.

My dog was stolen when I was 15, but she was a rare color teacup poodle so we found her a year later. My neighbor stole her and sold her to his grandmother. Losing her was horribly sad but learning who stole her was worse!

And unfortunately, they can be used as bait dos sometimes. That's why you never give away lets to people you don't know for free either. It's very sad, but you have to be very careful.

How do you know the dog just didn't run away like most of them attempt to do at some point of their life, bimbo?

That's sad but honestly? Having her children kidnapped would be much worse. I'm sure she feels bad about the dog but it wouldn't be my first priority in that situation either.

Did she just refuse to watch the dog or did it get stolen? Was your idea or hers to bring the dog? I really hope you find your puppy.

Seriously people, she's not saying that the kids aren't important. She's saying that if she can keep an eye on 3 kids how hard can it be to keep an eye on a dog too?

Pretty damn hard. Watching 3 young children is like trying to hold water in a seive, and dogs can be just as bad.

I get the feeling that OP has never tried to take a preschooler go the park, let alone multiple! I would probably lose the dog too.

At the same time it sounds like the sister was watching her children and the op just dumped her dog on the sister. If thats the case op deserves it because the sister clearly had enough on her plate with out adding a dog to the mix.
