The customer is almost always annoying

Today, I was serving an incredibly rude woman at work. The ladder I had used to get her two pairs of shoes came crashing down, and hit my face and neck. She only bought one pair, and ten minutes later returned them after, complaining they were too expensive. FML

Doncha just wish you could take an AK to all rude people? I do...

Two words: worker's comp. You can't do much about dealing with rude, cheap bitches like her unless you quit customer service completely, but I hope if that ladder hurt you, you get medical attention and make sure your employer knows it happened at work. I'd have been tempted to use the shoes she returned to beat her senseless until she was begging for mercy out of my pain and frustration. Guess I'm bitchy when I'm in pain.

I work in a shoe store, I make less then minimum wage, and yet I'm not at happy at home. Are you Al Bundy?

HEY buyer's remorse is a serious condition!!!

You can't return them just for that. Wrong size, maybe, but not for being too expensive. It's just not policy.

People can be incredibly rude to people in retail, hospitality or any off that sort. Because they seem to see you as a slave, like they could do your job better if they wanted to but they won't. I think people don't realize that they would handle it worse than the person serving them. So be a smart ass back next time. Or just ignore them if store policy says otherwise, and have "yep" and "Okay" answers to everything she says. It may not be professional, but it will make you feel better if you do it right in a way to not get fired and still tell them off :)

¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡White girl!!!!!!!!!!

What a complete snotbag. No, she wasn't obligated to buy the shoes because the OP got smacked by a ladder trying to get them, but she also didn't have to buy them and then return them 10 minutes later. And I'm willing to bet she didn't show an ounce of concern for the person helping her. Does Australia have secret shoppers--you know, the folks who go into a store to test out the customer service of a location? That would explain buying and returning.

yeah we do, but usually theyre given a budget to work with so they dont have to return things, also they arent very common anymore. most of us have established that theyre useless.

You should also put this on not always right..just sayin..anyways, I get rude people like that all the time. I had one lady tell me to 'lose the attitude'..all I wanted to do was scan her coupons..customers are normally like that when their shopping experience is really good and they just wanna find something to complain about. FYL. Next time, just punch her in the ovaries. Problem solved.
