Today, I tried to buy a bottle of wine from the supermarket. The scrawny, acne-ridden kid at the checkout asked to see my ID. I didn't have any on me, since I'm 37 years old and didn't expect to be asked stupid questions. I complained to his manager, only to be asked to leave. FML

Today, I bought a small bottle of liquor to share with my husband to celebrate our move. It took three hours at the store as the cashier, manager, GM, and a police officer checked my ID believing it was fake. I'm 25. FML

there was one case where an old lady would order the same pizza everyday for three years without fail to the point where they would cook it before she even phoned. One day when she didn't call the driver went to her house to check on her and found she suffered a stroke. moral of the story: your alcoholism could one day save your life!

Just because he goes to the same store and gets the same thing on a regular basis doesn't mean he an alcoholic, it could mean he is just in a rut.

Regardless of frequency, that is great customer service, no matter if you are at a liquor store or a coffee shop. Most people also reach an age/maturity in drinking where they no longer have to try every bottle of spirits in the store, but have winnowed the selection down to one or two types of alcohol that they like, so I doubt you are in a rut. Also Ignore the comments on AA, remember AA is for quiters

Hey there's only a problem if it consumes you, this guy is posting this on some form of computer or phone so obviously he's not just some dead beat, and maybe he's just a regular customer and buys the same thing all the time, all the negativity here, he's living his life let him be, on a funnier not alcoholics need a drink, this guy already has one.... ;)

Today, I needed a change of clothes, so I called my mom. She brought me a grey shirt with a toucan on the front and 'Mexico City' spelled in glitter. I asked her why she would bring me such an ugly shirt, and she started crying. Turns out she'd bought it for me as a present from her trip. FML

Today, I went shopping with my mom. I went into my department and tried on some clothes. After a few minutes, there is an announcement that a child has gone missing. Staff are searching the store. I see my mom and she hugs me in tears and yells, "I found her!" I'm almost 17. FML

Today, since I've been enduring a sore throat, I got Chloraseptic lozenges to finally get a bit of relief. When I put one in my mouth, I nearly choked on it. Imagine that: trying to soothe your throat, and you almost die by accidentally obstructing it instead. The irony almost hurts even more than my throat does. FML

Today, marks a whole month that my boss has asked me to come in early to my part-time job, which makes me pretty happy to get the extra hours. I casually made a joke that she might as well make me full-time now. That made her change her mind, now I'm back down to 23 hours a week. FML
