Today, I joined a dating website and spent all day filling out and improving my profile. My first match is a guy who relentlessly tried to date me for all 4 years of high school. Now he just has more reasons to tell me how much we're meant to be. We're a 97% match. FML

Today, I went on an online date. I'd spent a while getting ready and making sure I looked good. When I arrived at the café, I saw my date and approached with a smile. He stood up, looked me over, and said, "Oh, I thought you were your profile picture’s friend." Then left. FML

Today, I signed up for an online dating service, a couple of days after my divorce. I got my first batch of matches, and number one was a smiling picture of the woman who had just divorced my ass after 20+ years together. Her profile shows she has to have been active there for months. FML

Today, I declared I was done with online dating after several disasters. My friend set me up with a friend of her husband's. Turns out he's one of the men who rejected me on the website. He laughed when he saw me and said, "Well, this is awkward" and left. FML

Wow. I would kill my husband if he did that. Better yet, I would make a profile, wait until he's online, then request to friend him or whatever. Then I would send him a message that says I'd love to have a date with him, my lawyer, a broken coke bottle and a spork (use your imagination...most painful death ever) in an hour, just so he knows it's coming and scare him shitless. Then see how many times he apologizes then roundhouse his ass out the door. :-P
