Today, a coworker complimented me on losing weight, and said that she wished she could drop a few pounds too. I was too embarrassed to tell her that the only reason I've lost weight is because I haven't been able to afford to eat. FML

Uhh well, at least you're getting something positive out of it! No, not eating isn't healthy at all and I do hope you'll be able to buy food soon, if not, stay over at friends or family.

Well its a trade off, you're broke but your belt isn't. I hope your economic situation lightens up too OP.

This post broke my heart. There are food banks out there my sweet. Don't be shy. I've had to ask for assistance in my lifetime too. Don't starve yourself. Food is a necessity. Go.

Beans and rice is a very cheap meal and its nutritionally sound. Just have to find different ways to season it vs ramen noodles which is cheaper. But if ramen was all you ate, you'd probably develop scurvy from malnutrition vs beans and rice.

Well keep it up OP, it's working for ya!

#12, you do realize that someone can be morbidly obese and still be anorexic and malnourished, right?

I'm sorry to hear tht OP. wish I could do something to help.

This actually is still occurring with me right now... Smh

Maybe apply for food stamps. There are also a lot of programs or places that donate food. I go volunteer at a place near where I live that gives out boxes of free food once a week. And they usually give me a box for volunteering.

I wish I could be just as broke as you are, as I need to lose some weight. Oh, wait no. Just kidding.

Or maybe rent. The water bill. OP might be at the public library or using a computer at work.
