Today, a customer punched me in the face for repeating their order back to them because they thought I was making fun of their speech impediment. I have the same speech impediment. FML

Wow people are way too sensitive these days. Punching someone? I hope you know that's physical assault.

4, I have a speech impediment where I talk too fast to the point where no one understands me, yet I got 3rd place in an oratorical contest. Also, there is no job that doesn't involve talking to people, whether it'd be customers to co-workers to employers. There is no legal job that doesn't involve talking to people. Besides a mime.

I agree with 4. He/She wasn't being rude. They have a speech impediment too and knows what it feels like. Because they aren't like everyone else they are often made fun of or ostracized. Bullied or giving strange looks. This also includes people with disablies or mental illnesses. These effects the persons emotions and makes them strain away from contact with others. 4 wasn't saying they shouldn't work there, just that he was confused as to why he would.

I hate that saying, of course they care.

Maybe this is the only job they could get! Or maybe they like it! Better working somewhere not ideal than not working at all!! Perhaps OP has a family to support!

If you're 18 and still can't spell the word "customer" by yourself and without spellcheck, I truly feel sorry for you. Then again, I noticed you keep spelling "answer" as "anwser." Perhaps you should stop wasting time on commenting on FMLs and instead take a remedial English course, so that you can learn how to spell and use proper grammar (although I doubt it will help you to be any less ignorant in regards to situations such as this). Sincerely, A Grammar Nazi

File a police report for that. Some people are just so quick to anger.

88: I know what you mean. My whole life I could never pronounce the "r" sound. Even so I have participated in Oratorical contest since fifth grade, and have done quite well. Not to mention I work register at the restaurant I work at. Just because someone has a speaking problem; doesn't mean they are any less capable.
