Today, a grasshopper jumped into my car. As my boyfriend swiped at it, the grasshopper jumped onto my chest and into my shirt. Instead of helping me get it out, my boyfriend leaned back and said, "It got to second base faster than I did." FML

Why do so many people assume the boyfriend hasn't reached 'the second base' (what a lame wording by the way) yet? The way I read it is that he says is that the grasshopper was faster; girlfriend and grasshopper had only just met, when he already jumps in her shirt. It just took a little longer for boyfriend. OP: Congratulations, you have found yourself a funny guy :)

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too. Nowhere does it say he HASN'T, just that it took less time for the grasshopper to get there. Now, if he'd said "before I did," that would be a different story.
