Today, a guy who I've been on five dates with called me for the first time in 2 weeks. The first thing I said was, "Don't expect me to go out with you again after going AWOL on me." Then he told me his mom died. FML

Well, she doesn't call him a boyfriend, maybe he didn't think of her as a girlfriend.

I agree with #45. if he hadnt told her, by texting or calling or something she would have no idea that his mom was dead. but she couldve called him or texted him.

People keep saying that this was a bitchy first line, when it is clearly not. Men tend to just do whatever they want and if it's not call at all for two weeks then hey why not .... **** that I woulda said the same thing ... It's sad that his mom died so he's excused but since she didn't know that... Props to her for standin upfor herself and having some damn PRiDE which more girls need now a days considering all the easy ass girls out there ... Good job Op!!

Why do guys always have to call the girls? You went on 5 dates w/ him and didn't check up on him? As a guy, I have slight commitment issues. If a girl actually took the time to find out what I was up to, instead of waiting for me to talk to them, then they might have me. I guess gender roles will never change?
