Today, a homeless man bathed himself in the restroom at my coffee shop in West LA. He locked himself in there for a good twenty minutes. The lingering smell was so strong that my other coworker vomited. Thanks to what is apparently a relatively strong gag reflex, I got to clean up. FML

#4 and #5 you both obviously haven't had extended periods of time with the homeless. They gather around my university campus and do nothing but beg, yell, and grab random people for no reason. If you two are so high and mighty wishing this fate upon me because "I don't know their situation" why aren't you two out there personally helping the homeless? When was the last time you let a homeless dude into your house to bathe and gave him a meal? You're no different from everyone else who walks by them without a second glance, so stop pretending you're a better person by "sympathizing".

You think your life sucks, think about how the homeless guy must feel. He has to smell himself every day.

Ooh, nasty! You know if he's gotten to the point where he can't even stand himself, it's going to be horrible. And why the f**ker had to choose a food service place instead of a gas station or library or something is beyond me. As far as nobody "choosing" to be homeless, well, some do. They choose their drugs or alcohol over behaving well enough to be able to hold a home. Sucks to be them.

I think #30 needs a drink of homeless bathwater...

Truthfully I'm scared of most homeless people! I would never let myself near them for fear they are schizo. They behave irrationally and Some of them get downright vulgar if you don't give them money when they ask.

#34: All of a sudden you realize you can't blame homeless people for their own situation and you start to be rude. I'm not giving homeless people money (mostly because I can't really afford it and because I don't think it would help them much anyway), and I don't really do anything to help them. But at least I'm not blaming them or bashing them. I realize they're not really responsible and they mostly are just very unlucky. Only a few pricks want to force us to help homeless people as if it was our duty. Many people just wish we would show respect to homeless people. That doesn't cost much. One day as I was eating at McDonald's, I saw a homeless guy sitting at a table next to mine with a happy meal because he couldn't afford anything else.. He was between 50 and 60, and I really felt bad to see the happy meal box on his table... I thought it must had been quite humiliating for him. I think the person who served him could had at least put his meal in a normal bag, to make it less obvious... But simple things like this still seem to be too hard to do for some people.

that's really dumb you sound so ignorant. If your homeless I don't think you'll be worried about if you have a happy meal or regular bag, but maybe where your next meal is coming from.

#30 you can't base things on statistics, there are homeless people who DO choose this lifestyle. True that its very few, but I know vagrants like that.

This isn't real, management would have a key and be unlock the restroom door when customers started to complain.

30... I LOVE YOU! If your a chick, i'll marry you! and you are soooooooooo right! You beat me to it! :) Those are FACTS people... The rest of you (making up facts and making fun of people that are clearly less fortunate then yourselves) are either 12 years old or argue like you are! You ignorant dumbass mother f#$%ing pieces of @$#% You all are the true cancer to society and should either educate yourselves or simply do the world a favor and go kill yourselves! (unless you're really 13 or younger but please start reading) one word dickheads! KARMA!!! good luck with that!

Shelters usually have a pretty good showering program, he should have gone there. I don't care what your social status is, you respect others and their property.

This has turned into a debate over the acceptance/treatment/reaction to homeless people that I will not get involved with. OP: The fact of the matter is that you have a job that you get PAID to do. I too have worked in coffee shops and other service environments where regular bathroom cleaning is a mandatory part of the job. It is unfortunate that you had to clean up such a ridiculous mess that was completely out of your control, but it IS what you get paid to do. You choose the job, it doesn't choose you. If you don't like it, get a job where you are not required to clean bathrooms. Not an FML.

37 LOL... you're an idiot! You can't base things on facts, instead base them on whatever I feel like stating as truth and don't argue with me or I'll revert back to my originaly stated self-proclaimed facts over and over and over! Those are pretty "sound" statistics considering the sources... You've offered absolutely NO proof, evidence, facts, other than the utter bullsh*t garbage you have stated out of your own economically scewed mind! 30 wins... you stay in school... or get back into it... or just stop talking (typing)...
