Today, a McDonald's employee had to correct my math after counting out $2.37 in change. I'm in AP Calculus and am currently learning how to find the derivative of an inverse of a logarithm. FML

No big deal. Simple mistake. I have a PhD in English and misstype/spell words weekly. That doesn't mean I'm any less intelligent.

Who the **** you think you are that someone from mcdonalds can't be smart? A lot of people work at chain restarunts to pay for school, medical bills, etc.

not only do you look like a douche for trying to put down a McDonalds worker, but you look more like a loser trying to put your dumb AP calculus statements in. dont try to justify that someone out there is actually smarter than you. you made a mistake happens all the time. no need to try and make yourself look smart because youre dumb

Meh. I went to uni for astrophys/biophys (switched second year) and I can barely multiply. Certain types of math require no use of numbers until the end ... it's all variable/unit manipulation within formulas until everything is kosher, at which point you just plug in the data and solve. Basic arithmetic has precious little to do with a lot of advanced math. Not a big deal.

This is not a FML. Anyone who has every taken advanced calculus knows it is NOT numbers lol.... Second of all, If i was taking orders and counting change all day long, I'd get pretty good at it.. just shows that the guy in mcdonalds isn't a complete moron, if one at all...

are you serious... if you know what you're doing then finding derivatives is a lot easier than subtracting numbers with two decimal places...

excuse me! i am in all of the highest courses that my high school allows- which is ALL college level- and i have a 3.95 gpa but i work at mcdonalds. so thank you very much- just because they dont live off of their parents money doesnt mean they are stupid.

yeah. um. inverse log is an exponent. which is...the easiest derivative ever -_-

you're retarded. all you did was use big words.

YDI. 1. Trying to find ways to show off yourself in FML. Such an attention seeker. 2. Just because someone works at McDonalds doesn't mean that they are not as smart as you. It just means that they haven't got a better job yet. And agreeing with #198, who is a perfect example, just because someone else doesn't live off their parents (like you obviously do) does not mean that they don't have (or won't have in future) a qualification as good as yours. I hope you don't get a job in future because of your low EQ (getting all emo about making a small mistake and try to make yourself feel better by showing off here) and end up working blue collar all your life.
